Affiliation: Bestfriend/Sister (BestSisterFriend) of Bride...if you know Bre then you probably know ME!!!
Seeing that Bre and I have been BFF's since 1997, there are ALOT of memories shared between us. We started off as silly mean girls (literally like the movie, we were " the plastics") in middle school. Back then there were 3 of us, known as the 3 Amigos until we kicked "AP" out the group - like Destinys Child did LeToya,Latovia and later, Farrah. Then it was just the two of us. We went to different High Schools, myself at CT (Second to NONE) and Bre at Redford (Red Dawgs).
Being that we were only a hop skip and jump away we still hung thick as thieves, riding that Grand River Iron Pimp (that means bus in slang) to make sure we could make it to all events. You would have thought we went to the same school, showing up at each others' Homecomings, Ice breakers, and basketball/football games.
Once high school was over Bre went to MSU and I moved to Ohio. We went our separate ways but still remained close. There were many late night drives to EL and early morning drives back to the city to make it to work on time. I always told Bre that I had to work in the morning and it was not a good idea to party the night before. I always got the same response "Girl bye we are young, forget sleep. You sleep when you die"!!
We started out at Lucky's Friday nights and ended most weekends with Old Skool Sunday's (which is where she was first introduced to her groom to be). We've thrown a few epic parties ourselves like the "Luau". We have lived together, but let's not do that again. We have been there for each other for ALL the headaches and heartaches that come along with the dating scene/ immature boys.
Bre has been My BestFriend since the 6th grade and now we are grown, engaged/married and a mother. We have definitely been through alot and have shared sooooo many memories it's hard to remember them all. Come 7/ 1/17 I will add another epic memory to the books. This will be the day that my BestSisterFriend will begin her Happily Ever After!! Cheers to Almost 20 years!!!
Affliation: The bride Briahna is my best friend! We have been inseparable for 10 plus years.
We have shared so many memories and good times, which makes it hard for me to just pick one. However, there was one particular time when Briahna and I lived in our first apartment at MSU. She had left out for class one morning, caught the bus to campus, arrived to her class and then called me within the first 20 minutes of class. This girl had asked me if I could go into her room and get her shoe and bring it to her. As confused as I was, I questioned how the heck she could’ve walked out of the house that morning with just one shoe on. So there I was riding the good ole shuttle bus to campus with one random shoe in my hand.
I arrived to her class. I could not hold my laughter, practically falling to the floor, as my best-friend came out of that classroom with two totally different shoes on her feet. Just about every day, I try to figure out how she made it all the way to campus and class with these two different shoes on and not noticed the difference!?!
I’m just so excited to be a part of this special day and happy that I have the opportunity to experience and add many more memories as we all take part in this New Chapter!
Affliation: Bre is my beloved big sister!!!
Out of all the beautiful memories shared with Bre, I am so happy that now we can make new memories with my brother, Rob. One of my most favorable memories shared with Briahna and Rob is when we would have Sunday dinner every Sunday after church at Ma's house. If you've ever watched the classic Soul Food, then you know that the vibe was something very similar, just with our family twist. We would laugh, eat, watch tv, play cards, crack jokes, and play music. If you know Rob, you know he brings humor to the room at all times. So you know there was never a dull moment and Bre would be right by his side laughing and smiling.
I love the bond that they have with me and most importantly I love the bond they have with one another. When I cheered on the Cubs I would've never thought Rob would be my sister's husband, but I am pleased to know that these two wonderful people are creating a very lovable union, and I will stand alongside my little big sister and her bridesmaids to witness it. <3 <3 <3 See Y'all July 1,2017 !!!! ;)
Affliation: The beautiful Bride-To-Be is my family (cousin). Blood could not make us any closer. Our family's grew up together and that is a way we kept going once we recognized who one another was in our MSU Psych 101 class. We've grew close, loved, laughed and lived together (literally, we were roomies lol).
A memory I cherish with Bre was when I was having guy problems and was really upset about it. She offered a listening ear and sound advice. To get my mind off of the situation, she took me out for a night drive while having PB&J and sunny-side up eggs (LOL). She gave me the support I needed at that time and that is something I will never forget.
SUPER EXCITED TO BE SHARING THIS MOMENT WITH YOU!! I LOVE YOU!
Affliation: I'm Rob's oldest younger sister.
One memory that I find hilarious is when we were younger and went to the State Fair around the corner from the house one year before it's conclusion. It was him, Micah, and I and Micah couldn't have been any more than seven years old. We had decided to ride the ferris wheel....well I guess Micah and I had...as our last ride of the day. We're riding our way to the top and Micah suddenly started rocking to the music. Anyone who knows my brother knows that he's afraid of heights, which I always found ironic considering his last name is Height.
So here we are at the very top of the wheel gently swaying more than usual from the movement of the ride and from Micah's dancing. I look over at him and he has his head in his hands looking at his lap, asking Micah to stop moving. Her taking everything as a joke, laughs it off and starts moving more and he freaks out. All I can do is laugh hysterically. When we eventually get off the ride and I could've saw tears in his eyes. Before we went home, he just had to stand there for a minute to collect himself and gave Micah the dirtiest look ever. I'm pretty sure he didn't talk to her on the walk back to the house.
I can't wait to build more memories with a new sibling added in the mix. So excited to be a part of the journey to July 1st, 2017!
Affliation: I am the cousin of the Groom (on his Father side). Robert has always been my favorite cousin.
The best memory I have is when he use to come over and babysit me and my brothers. We would eat pizza and be up all night because he would teach me how to dance.
Affliation: Briahna is my cousin from my father's side of the family. We are more like bestfriends/sisters though lol.
Ok I have a lot of memories with Briahna. I remember when I used to beg my mother if could I spend the night at her house. We thought we were so fly. We would spend hours getting our outfits and hair together just to ride bikes all day long. And we used to be so mad cause we had to take my little sister Brittany with us (lol). Anyway, I have way more memories than this but that's for another time.
I love her so much and I'm so happy for you guys.
Congrats Rob and Bre for the eternal life that you guys will live and spend together!!
Affliation: Younger cousin of the Bride
Affliation: I am the baby sister of the Groom!!
My best memory of them.... When Rob, Bre, and I were on our way to the mall one evening, we were listening to a variety of music. One song came on and I told them that I didn't know who the rapper, Young Jeezy, was. They talked about me and laughed at me the whole way there. It turned into a music battle, My music (dance/pop music artists) versus theirs. We laughed, danced, and sung for the rest of the night!! It was fun and a bonding moment that had me smiling for a long time!
The oldest of my God-children. It's crazy because she acts just like me. Not sure if that's a good thing or what, lol. But she is adorable and loving in so many ways. She loves to be the big sibling, as to show that she can handle responsibility. With her inspiration in creating clothing, she will definitely become something great.
- God-father Rob
As my baby sister, I know my light bright loves the heck out of Briahna. The night of the proposal, I could really tell that she wasn't feeling the occasion. The girl loves pictures and to smile. She didn't want to take a picture with us or anything. I believe now, everything is good and she's happy with the decision I chose to make and knows that she's not losing her brother but GAINING A WONDERFUL SISTER.
- Big Brother Rob
Winter is the niece of the Bride. At the age of three, Winter graced our family with her presence, sending us all head over hills!! Every day spent with her has been nothing but pure joy and excitement. Winter blended right in like she had been here with us since day one!!!
- Auntie Bre
Cassidy is the little cousin/niece of the Bride and has a personality of a little grown lady and warms my heart everytime she talks! I consider this beautiful little girl our family's Model baby because she is just that Perfect at it!!
Robert Height has been my brother since 1998 but I have always played against Rob since 1993. That is the first time I can remember playing the Cubs and my coaches saying Curtis you watch for Robert Height.
One of my best memories of Rob was when we were in the purple Plymouth breeze, yeah y'all know that purple breeze; We started to hydroplane and almost hit the curb, about ten trash cans and a light pole. After he straightened the car up, I looked at him, he looked at me we both said if we hit that pole with the car, we driving to another state because grandma would've killed us.
Another memory I have with Rob is when we were in papa house and he called in from outside and said " Robert come get me I done fell out this damn truck". We ran outside and papa face was down on the driveway.
These are just some of my many memories!
I met Bri through Rob but now Bri is my cousin for real. Bri's cousin married my father-in-law this pass summer, so now my brother is marrying my cousin and it's not weird. I love both of you so much.
Affliation: Rob was my roommate in College for 5 years.
My best memory with Rob was our freshman year of college, during a party when I had gotten into an altercation with a few guys. I was ready to face them all and Rob said "this my roommate, so whatever happens I'm involved as well." From that point on I was like that's my brother, I'm gone ride for him and he's gonna ride for me. We've been brothers ever since!
Affliation: I first met Robert through my family and the West Side Cubs. He was always around and always looked out for me even before becoming a coach. Eventually Rob started coaching me and took me under his wing. Since then he looked out for me as the big brother I never had.
The best memory I have with Rob was all of the New Years parties him and Bre would have. It was always nothing but fun, family, and games. This was cool because we could "turn up" and share memories together in a safe environment with the people we loved. Also, it was a time to reflect on where we had been in the last year and where we wanted to be in the next.
Congratulations Rob and welcome to the family, Bre. Love y'all.
Affliation: The Bride's Brother
A memory that is always at the forefront of my mind is
when we were kids, playing in the room by ourselves. Bre catapulted me straight into the wall inside our closet using her feet!
Affliation: I've known rob for 15 years now. He's always been that big brother that I've never had.
One of my best memories is when he was playing Arena Football and I got to watch him get his MVP trophy and win the Championship.
Affliation: Brother/cousin of the Groom
I remember that day we were driving to my house from grandma's house after we got our hair cut. Back then 107.5 was 105.9 and they were playing the same songs. You turned the radio to 9.55 and that Jessica Simpson song "With You" was playing. You knew every word and I couldn't believe it! What was more funny than that was I actually started liking the song because you said it was cool. You know I always tried to do whatever you did exactly how you did it because you were my big brother... the one I always looked up to.... the one I always asked for.
Affliation: I'm friends with and a brother of Robert.
My most fondest memories of the love birds are the game nights and cookouts at their apartments.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your day!!
Affliation: I am the youngest brother of the bride
One memory in particular that I remember stands out to me because Bre has always been (and will always be scared of everything). LOL So one day me and Bre were pulling up to the house and she saw a cat running up the driveway. If you know her, you know that she is terrified of cats! So we were walking in the house and she just about knocked me over trying to get through the door because she thought the cat and something else was out there still.
Affliation: the Groom is my brother
One of my favorite memories is when me and Rob were playing basketball and starting arguing. I saw our dad watching, so I figured that if I hit Rob first, dad wouldn't let us fight long. I was wrong.... It was a few minutes and busted lip later before he broke it up. To this day I am still trying to figure out what took him so long.
Bryce is the God-son of the Bride and since the age of 2 has become son that we, as a couple, have Never had
Bryce is the son of my long time best friend Brittney and has been nothing but a joy to me since the day he entered the world. We knew from the time he would move non-stop in the womb that he would be the party animal, a life of the party type of kid!!
Every time we are together, he asks: "When is the wedding again God Mommy? and I’m gonna be there right?". LOL He definitely can’t wait no more than we can and I know he is Proud to be a part of our Big Day!!!

In Loving Memory of Robs Dear Grandmother
In Loving Memory of Briahna's Dear Grandmother
In Loving Memory of Rob's Dear Grandmother
In Loving Memory of Briahna's Dear Grandfather
On Briahna's 28th birthday, she decided to have an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party/Birthday Dinner at BlackRock of Canton. What initially started off as a list of about 10-15 people, quickly jumped to 87 guests that wanted to share this day with her.
As Robert and Tiffanie secretly planned this big occasion, Briahna nervously prepared herself as this number was rapidly growing each day. Family and friends told her that this and that person really wanted to come because this would be their first time at the newer restaurant (The Cover-up). Hoping that not everyone would show up and thinking that it would be limited space, Briahna continues to plan this birthday dinner encouraging everyone to find ugly sweaters.
On December 23, 2015, Robert neatly decorated her sweater with lights and ornaments making it as Perfect as can be for the Birthday Girl's Special Surprise.
Arriving to the restaurant, she entered a room full of family and friends. Not being able to sit, order food or eat, let alone finish a drink, she traveled from table to table to take pictures with each and every person that showed up.
After an hour or so of attempting to get the Birthday girl to finally sit down and eat some food, the manager and Robert had come to her to deliver news about a potential issue that may take place with the bills with such a large party. With the crowd gathering around and camera phones up and out, Briahna went into a zone. She began to hear Bruno Mars "Treasure" playing on a nearby Bluetooth speaker.
The manager begins to explain that the only thing he could offer us was this small gray box. He handed it over to Robert, and as he opened it,there sat a ring. Robert dropped down to one knee. The room was filled with screams, clapping, and tears in everyones' eyes!! In complete shock, She Said "YES"!!!!!!
Sidenote: She didn't cry to let me know it was a "REAL YES"! - Robert
Bre and I met through her mom. One day at the cubs field, momma Lisa and her guy-friend (one of my boys) at the time were talking. The guy-friend says "Rob you have to look at her daughter. She's pretty, smart, has a job, and just graduated." I said "Oh really, let me see." So momma Lisa pulled up a picture and all I could say was wow.
After a week or so with me asking when can I meet her and me sending Bre messages without her responding, Momma Lisa finally gave in at a Cubs party and said I'll take you to meet her. But first she gave me that speech... "you better not hurt her and treat her right at all times." I agreed and we left to go meet her daughter at none other than Elysium, Briahna's favorite spot back in the day. While at the club, CJ and I were introduced to Briahna and her 2 friends; who else but Tiffanie and Brittney. They both were cool at first, but we all know each group of friends has that one hating girl in the group. Tiffanie didn't want Bre to stand there and talk to me, nor did she want her to exchange numbers with me. She kept pulling her away, saying little things like "come on Bre let's go over here"...just straight hating on me.
So yes, I met Rob through my mother! She told me that she had this guy that she wanted me to meet. I’m like "yea’ yea’, whatever." After telling me who he was and where he was from, I called up my cousin to get a little background information on him because she was affiliated with one of his family members. I decided to move forward and do my own research based on how I viewed him.
On one of my regular nights out with the girls, I randomly checked my Facebook before getting out of the car, and there he was in my inbox. I’m thinking "ohh boy, he is on his way up here from the Cub party I skipped out on!" His Message Read:
“Hey how are you? Hope all is well but check it, your mom called me today and it came up under your name and I thought it was you so I was about to get my sexy voice on for you lol but I would like to meet you, go out, grab a bite to eat and have a drink how you feel about that?”
He showed up, we partied, my girls and his boy. He wasn't seeing eye to eye with one of my friends right away, but we did our share of hanging and she eventually grew to love her homeboy/fellow Technician Rob.
On that night of Oct. 17, 2010 and after, Rob refused to give up on pursuing me!
Sharing moments together, growing with one another, creating memories, and becoming a couple overtime led to Robert becoming my Fiancé.
On July 1, 2017, We will add a memory to the books that we will never forget! I will marry this man and we will become One!
Of course you know my name is Robert Height III - a great name from my papa and dad. I was born in Fort Polk, Louisiana on April 3rd, 1984 but raised in the mean streets of Detroit, Michigan.
Being the only male grandson on both sides of my family for a long while, I guess you can say I was spoiled, but just only a tiny bit. I grew up going to the Boys and Girls club every day after school. Then I was introduced to the greatest little league organization around, THE WEST SIDE CUBS! After attending Keidan Elementary, and Hally Magnet Middle school, I went on to the greatest and most well-known high school in the world, DETROIT CASS TECH! After earning many awards in school with basketball, track, and football at CT, I then went on to college to earn my Associates degree and win a collegiate championship. While attending Northwood University, I was able to join the Elite Fraternity of KAPPA ALPHA PSI FRATERNITY INCORPORATED.
Fast forwarding through all the college parties, traveling the states, winning championships, winning MVP awards with arena football, and what not.... soon enough, I met the love of my life in the cold October of 2010. After chasing her through Elysium nightclub and the pal cheerleading competition, I finally swept Briahna off of her feet and she agreed to go out with me.
I was born on December 24th, of '87 (Christmas Eve), to Wade Cook and Lisa Farmer-Luster and raised in Inkster, MI in my earlier years.
Being the oldest of four children, I held much responsibility and had to lead by example in everything that I decided to do for the sake of my younger siblings in which I took pride in doing!!
In my elementary school years, I relocated to the Westside of Detroit where I attended school in the Detroit Public School System. Here I attended Emerson Elementary/Middle School, then on to Redford High School, where I found everlasting friends, tons of new adventures to take on, and experiences I never thought I would have.
Throughout high school, I remained active in a couple of different sports and academic activities, from playing volleyball to quickly (and I mean quickly) running cross-country for a short period of time, while additionally serving as a member of the National Honors Society and then working part-time in the shop with my beautician. Additionally, I took on babysitting for family members which made it really hard for me to go on to the next chapter of moving away from family and being on my own.
Becoming a Michigan State University Spartan was the beginning stage of a new chapter that changed my life in many ways. At the age of 17, I had no idea how different things would be without my parents living under the same roof, around the corner, or even in the same city as me at the time.
With those college years flying by in the blink of an eye, I moved back home with my family nearby, but ventured out on my own at the same time.
Not long after, I was introduced to Mr. Rob. The rest is History!!
Being engaged, planning this wedding, and preparing for married life has been the most fun and incredible feeling and time that I’ve had in forever!! The collaboration of two families has been the smoothest and most pleasant experience as well. I am enjoying every bit of this Journey!!
Over the holidays, we prepped, packaged, and mailed off the Save the Dates!!
Be Sure to let us know that you received yours in the mail!
Don't forget to place it on your magnetic board (Refrigerator for most)!!
We have found our Venue where we would like to Celebrate this wonderful occasion with all our family and close friends.
On a Beautiful Friday Evening, the Bride-to Be, her mom and her baby sister visited Arena Bridal in Shelby Township, Michigan to find her Gown. After months of searching in and out of town, headaches, almost a breakdown, and about 50 something dresses later... I made the Big Commitment on the Wonderful day and "Said Yes to the Dress!!!!"
